I've been making small paintings from  paintings that I've sold that were originally large.
I like to revisit paintings that I like and no longer have, and I also use up left over pieces of canvas or linen. Waste not, want not.

this is called "Bolero 5", one of a series of latino jazz paintings, this one sold a while ago but I feel like creating a smaller version. This one was pretty large, about 36x52

this is a portrait of my son, who had a really nice guitar collection at the time, it's pretty big, 36x60
gallery wrap canvas.  A couple of musicians who play guitar asked me if they could use the image for their cd cover. I said go ahead, use it.

Salsa Night

This is Salsa Night 2 16x16 acrylic on linen, Hot Latino Jazz Band, rocking it out one night in Delray Beach.

I redid a painting that I had done a while ago and sold. Always get a great photo of your paintings before you let them go. A man in Germany wanted a print, the image wasn't good enough. So, I recreated the painting in acrylic and hopefully he'll get his print & everybody will be happy.

I think when a scene is made more abstract it's more expressive.

"L'amour ou Quoi" is one of a long series of "bleu guys" paintings. I was obsessed with blue for quite a while. There are a lot of different blues, there's ultramarine, cerulean, manganese, cobalt, mineral, prussean, pthalo, indigo, just to name a few. There's usually the head of an evil being getting crushed, good always prevails.
