The Jam Session

This is my latest, 'The Jam Session' 34x56x1.5 oil on canvas, I labored over it a little but. Every once in a while I get stuck on a composition and have to stop, step back, regroup then work on it til I like it.
I hate when that happens, but I think it happens when your style starts to morph a little.
Anyway, I do like it now, I made a smaller version while I was painting this one.

Day 19, Le Chanteur

this is day 19, of a painting a day, think I'm ready to go back to painting a lot but not a painting a day.
This is Le Chanteur, 12x12x.5 from a new series of square foot paintings

Day 18, The Blues

The Blues, day 18 in my daily paintings,  my ongoing abstract musician series and start of 12x12 or square foot of art series. The guitar is cobalt blue, my current color obsession.

Day 17, Cello, Violin, Cat

day 17, June 16 in my challenge to myself, think I'm going to take next week off because this is like working, need a vaca. I have to enjoy the Summer too. This is an 8x8x.5 acrylic on canvas of my musicians with a blue cat.

day 16 Last Call

It was called City Limits

day 14, R and R

going through my photo's to find inspiration for a painting a day, may have to do some still life, I've not explored that subject matter yet. I see a lot of artists on dailypaintworks  do paintings of mundane things but with their mad crazy talent they make a coffee cup into a very amazing composition and painting. With their use of color, light, placement of objects they can make a usual object into a very unique painting. Anyway, I might give that a go after the weekend, we'll see.
