Virtuoso
Virtuoso,
this is basically the method of my madness,
first sitting
sketch in pencil or paint,
fill in the colors like a coloring book
second sitting:
outline & details
when dry enough, varnish with dammar
I also rub some color on the blank canvas to give the painting an inner fire.
I also just noticed my Virtuoso needs a bow, haha

The Small Stuff
My new series of small versions of some of my favorite paintings that I no longer have but want to revisit. Since being on DPW, I've started painting small which I really didn't do much of before but I do like it. It's easier once you get used to it, a lot of my paintings are very large. It almost takes longer to actually paint small, but everything else is easier and more convenient. Your supplies last longer, it's easy to store, easy to transport to galleries. framing. I'm becoming addicted.
Here are a couple of recent paintings, I've used canvas board but after trying gesso board, that is my fave.
